A Historical Site and the Story of

Mrs. Whittemore

The Whittemore House was built by architect Harvey Page for opera singer Sarah Adams Whittemore. While Mrs. Whittemore was the first woman to utilize the space, she was by no means the last. The Whittemore House has always celebrated women and empowered them to raise their voices, whether that be in song or in speech.

TESTIMONIALS

The Whittemore house was perfect for our June wedding. The house is spacious and very DC. Our 120 person wedding felt both fancy and homey at the same time.
